CMR Green Technologies Ltd., a leading name in the aluminium recycling industry, is pleased to announce investment from Nippon Light Metal Company Limited, a global leader in aluminium products and technologies, in one of its subsidiary companies, namely, CMR Eco Aluminium Pvt. Ltd. Both companies signed the joint venture agreement on 30th May 2025.
The joint venture will focus on developing advanced recycling technologies, improving the quality of recycled aluminium billets, and expanding the market reach of both companies. By combining CMR’s expertise in recycling with Nippon Light Metal’s well-established presence in Japan, the partnership is set to create significant value for customers and stakeholders.
The plant, located at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh has an annual production capacity of 36,000 tons and will specialize in processing both post and pre consumer aluminium scrap to produce high-quality, low-carbon aluminium billets and ingots, aligning with the global trend of increasing sustainable production practices.
Global demand for recycled aluminium is expected to surge to 57 million tons by 2040.
