All phases of production and use—such as scrap produced during the manufacture of galvanised steel sheet, scrap produced during installation and production, and scrap from end-of-life products—are utilised to recycle the metal. Steel that has a zinc coating on it can still be recycled, and items with zinc coatings of any kind can still be recycled. During the manufacturing process by the zinc scrap suppliers, zinc-coated steel is recycled with other steel scrap the zinc volatilizes and is subsequently recovered.
